Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences is a postgraduate medical institution founded upon principles for educating and training health care professionals to serve the rural and medically underserved communities in the Northwest. Upon its founding in 2005, PNWU-COM became the Pacific Northwest’s first medical school in over 60 years.

PNWU’s 70-acre campus houses over 280 first- and second-year medical students who train under the careful instruction of highly skilled faculty. In addition to the four buildings that comprise the Yakima campus, 16 core rotation sites throughout the Northwest provide clinical practice during student rotations in years three and four.

PNWU is committed to bridging the gap in health care access through innovative interprofessional education and strong community provisions, aligning collaborative learning practices with partnership programs offered on campus. Such partnerships include the Physician Assistant, Nursing, and Master of Arts in Medical Sciences programs from Heritage University, as well as the Doctor of Pharmacy satellite program from Washington State University.

Life Flight Network is the Northwest’s and Intermountain West’s premier critical care air transport service, bringing the ICU to the patient. We are headquartered in Aurora, Oregon and have bases in Oregon, Idaho, Washington and Montana.

We have an in-depth understanding of the terrain that makes up the incredible states we serve. Life Flight Network’s ability to assist residents living in or enjoying rural locations or mountainous terrain makes the service we provide extraordinary, and at times a life-saving necessity, for the community.

  • Life Flight Network provides life-saving transport to seriously ill or injured patients from the scene of an emergency or from one hospital to another.
  • Locations are often remote and hard or time-consuming to get to by vehicle.
  • Life Flight Network includes air and ground ambulances and highly skilled personnel representing an integral part of local emergency medical systems.

Life Flight Network, by supporting and working together with local police, EMS, fire departments, emergency responders, and hospitals, can ensure every patient receives the best quality care.

Life Flight Network is a not-for-profit medical transport service and has a proven history of trusted and respected medical care.
